The Expendables franchise stars Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone are set to reunite for a new action film, Trading Lavon.
Directed by Suicide Squad’s David Ayer from a script adapted by Stallone, the upcoming film will star Fast and Furious star Statham in the title role of Levon Cade (via Deadline).
Based on the novel of the same name by Chuck Dixon, Lavon’s Trade will be Stallone’s first screenplay since 2019’s Rambo: Last Blood and 2018’s Creed II. This is the first of 11 books in Dixon’s Lavon Cade thriller series. Stallone previously developed the idea into a TV show under the Balboa Productions banner.
“Levon Cade left his profession and began working in construction. He just wants to live an anonymous life and be a good father to his daughter. But when a local girl disappears, he is asked to return to the skills that made him a mythical figure in the world. the ghostly world of counter-terrorism.

Cedar Park Entertainment’s Ayer and Chris Long will produce, along with Statham and Stallone. John Friedberg and Bill Block also produce.
