A Working Man (2025) gets its first trailer, revealing more about Jason Statham’s upcoming action thriller. Directed by David Ayer, the new film marks another collaboration between Ayer and Statham, following the surprise hit The Beekeeper in early 2024. In A Working Man, Statham plays Levon Cade, a former black ops soldier who has given up his brutal ways to live as a construction worker. However, when his boss’s daughter is kidnapped, he sets out to rescue her, uncovering corruption at every turn.
Amazon MGM Studios has now shared the first trailer for A Working Man, teasing another action-packed adventure from Statham. As expected from a Statham film, the trailer also highlights that there will be plenty of action, including hand-to-hand combat and a fair amount of gunplay.
At first glance, Working Man doesn’t look all that different from many of Statham’s other action films, and that may be a good thing.
The film has a lot in common with The Beekeeper, which isn’t surprising considering both films were directed by the same director and that film was a hit. The Beekeeper currently holds a 71% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 92% audience rating, and has grossed $152 million worldwide. It’s unclear what Working Man’s budget was, but The Beekeeper was made for around $40 million,
and the new film is likely not too far off from that figure.
With the Working Man trailer reassuring audiences that they can expect more of the same from Statham, with some fresh plot twists and at least one unique supporting character, the film could prove a success when it opens in March.
