“Collection” of Certificates
My story
I am Narek Hakobyan from Vanadzor, nowadays living in Yerevan (capital city of the Republic of Armenia).
From early childhood I was interested in martial arts and sports in general. As a child, I was getting trained in cold, dark and unattractive sport halls (after 1988 destructive earthquake in Armenia) or on hand-made street training apparatus, I was trying to fight over cold and difficulties, which I believed would make any person stronger and unbreakable.
Parents and neighbors state that I was pretty sure I’d make to the Guinness World Records one day: as a kid I kept on saying I’d be one of the record holders one day, like those famous people, whose names were recorded in the Guinness World Records’ book. So, I started to work towards my dream day and night: in April 2013, I made my well-trained pushups and in September 2013 my dream came true, I got the certificate confirming me as a Guinness holder from Guinness World Record London official headquarters. Before getting the official confirmation from Guinness World Record, I started moving steadily towards new achievements by setting new records both in my country and worldwide. I need to mention that there’s an Armenian version of Guinness Records’ book called
‘’Dyutaznagirq’’ (Daredevils’ book), which covers not only exceptional physical, but also extraordinary mental abilities, astonishing talents and astounding skills. Over one hundred records made from 2012 to 2015 were included in the second volume of Guinness World Records’ book. Those new records granted me the honorable title of ‘’record setter of record setters’’. In the same year, I tried to make 14 new records, but due to some technical problems none of the records were officially approved. It is worth mentioning that setting Guinness World Records doesn’t provide with financial means, it gives only fame and makes it easier to become more famous, makes path to the show-business and this is one of the main reasons to be a part of this worthy journey. Being recorded in the Guinness World Records’ book contributed greatly to becoming famous throughout internet in different countries of the world. My workout videos were shown in different tv channels, internet was showered by many of my videos, many offers of cooperation with famous companies (Jukin Media, Caters News, BuzzFeed, Newsflare, ViralVideoUK, Storyful, etc.) and some notable contracts were made.
