Arnold Schwarzenegger Mentioned ; “The Latest Terminator Movies Were ‘Not Written Well Enough’”

Arnold Schwarzenegger has revealed why he thinks the last three Terminator films haven’t generated the same fanfare as the original trilogy. It is undeniable that the first three films of the legendary franchise enjoyed great success with audiences around the world. When the first film hit theaters in 1984, people were shocked to see Schwarzenegger as a fearsome cybernetic assassin sent back to kill Sarah Connor.
James Cameron worked movie magic again seven years later with a sequel that is still the highest-grossing film to this day. The third movie, released more than a decade after Doomsday, seems to have completed Arnie’s storyline and still performs well. However, the next three films, Salvation, Genesis and Dark Fate, failed to match their predecessors at the box office.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Schwarzenegger was asked if he believes the Terminator saga is officially over. He Said: “The franchise is not over. I’m done. “I clearly and clearly understood that the world wants to move on with a different theme when it comes to The Terminator. “Someone has to come up with a great idea. “The first three films were great.
“Number four [Salvation] didn’t have me because I was the governor. Then five [Genisys] and six [Dark Fate] didn’t close the deal, as I understand it. “We knew that ahead of time because they just weren’t well written.” While Dark Fate may not have done well at the box office compared to the five earlier films, it did well on review websites. It has a 70% critical rating and an 82% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes, so it’s clear
there’s still interest in the film. The final film fared much better than Genesis, which received a 26 percent critical rating and a 52 percent audience rating. It’s unclear if we’ll get any more Terminator movies in the future, Arnie has made it clear he wants the script to be incredible if he signs on for it.
