Every Jason Statham Movie On Netflix

Here’s every Jason Statham movie currently available on Netflix. While he had appeared in some music videos previously, Jason Statham had never acted before Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels. Guy Ritchie’s directorial debut became a smash hit when it arrived in 1998, with the British gangster comedy becoming famed for its style and humor. Statham – a former Olympic diver – soon made a switch to action films, with his first action role being John Carpenter’s Ghosts Of Mars, followed by the likes of The Transporter series. He’s also got some notable franchises to his name, including The Expendables series – which united him with the likes of Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, and Arnold Schwarzenegger – and The Fast & Furious movies. Later fronted the spinoff Hobbs & Shaw with Dwayne Johnson. Here’s a guide to every current Jason Statham movie on Netflix, according to Just Watch.

Snatch (2000)

Snatch was Guy Ritchie’s – who has many unmade movies – follow-up to Lock, Stock, And Two Smoking Barrels, with the movie attracting an even starrier cast, including Brad Pitt and Benicio del Toro. Despite being an ensemble, Jason Statham’s boxing promotor Turkish is essentially the lead character and the film – which is now a beloved cult favorite – proved the actor had leading man charisma.

The One (2001)

The One was originally supposed to be a star vehicle for Dwayne Johnson, but after he backed out, Jet Li took over. The One is a charmingly dated sci-fi action flick that plays like a b-movie Matrix, and see’s Li’s character chased by an evil alternate universe doppelganger. It’s another Jason Statham movie on Netflix too, with the film being an early action role for the actor; sadly, he’s relatively underused and forced to adopt an ill-fitting American accent.

Chaos (2005)

Chaos is a 2005 thriller that paired Jason Statham with Wesley Snipes and Ryan Phillippe. Despite featuring a name cast, the film ultimately went straight to DVD in North America and received tepid reviews. There is some decent action in Chaos and a surprise twist, though it’s not one of Statham’s best by a long margin.

Redemption (2013)

The final Jason Statham movie currently available on Netflix is 2013’s underrated Redemption, AKA Hummingbird. A dark drama from Peaky Blinders’ creator Steven Knight, the movie cast Statham as an alcoholic ex-soldier seeking some redemption for his past. While there are brief moments of action, Redemption is more of a showcase for Jason Statham’s acting ability, with the actor proving he’s capable of a much broader range than punching people or driving cars when given the chance.
