Hello friends, Tony Jaa was born on February 5, 1976 in Thailand, the real name of the actor is Phanom Yeerum, actor Yeerum was fond of films about martial arts, he dreamed of becoming a famous actor in future like other masters of martial arts cinema. The boy began the path of studying martial arts in his own room since he was 10 years old. Phanom’s father taught Muay Thai and based the fundamental bases of Thai boxing skills at early age. He continued his studies at the school in the temple and had successful fights with other students, he became the owner of the title Master at the age of 15 martial arts and used a large arsenal of different techniques and strikes due to his endurance and good athletic training.

Young Jaa received a scholarship from Maha Sarakham National College of Physical Education in Maha Sarakham province, from which he graduated with a bachelor’s degree. he learned the basics of the progenitor of modern Muay Thai, Tony Jaa was considered one of the best students in the group in disciplines such as; long jump and high jump as well as gymnastics and ball wrestling during his college years he won several gold medals and became famous as an excellent athlete. As a result, Tony took a pseudonym  ”Tony Jaa”and started  working as a stuntman. The talented young fighter was noticed after a small role in the film as a Thai stunt.  The young man  was  invited to shoot for movies and  and commercials, in one of commercials Tony  was advertising  an energy drink in which Tony was a stuntman for  Chinese actor Sammo Hung. This commercial greatly impressed the creators of the second part of the action movie “Mortal Kombat”, and the director invited the young star to act in Hollywood. As a result, Tony finally changed his real name to   shorter name – Tony Jaa.

He became a stuntman for Robin Shaw in the film of the same name and performed all of Liu Kang’s intricate punches and jumps. Tony Jaa’s next major role was the title role in the film Ong Bak. Tony revealed all of his abilities in martial arts fully in this movie    playing a strong warrior of a real fighter. For the film, Tony studied Muay Thai, stunt tricks and acting in depth, while the directors worked on the plot of the film and the choreography of the fights to make everything look spectacular and real. in 2003 the film was ready, and finally came out on wide screens. All the fights and the most difficult stunts with extreme acrobatics stunts in the film were done without mechanical means and computer special effects.
Tony Jaa did all stunts by  his own, Ong Bak was a huge success and Tony was talked about as the new Asian action star.  The movie ‘The Protector’‘ starring   Tony Jaa in the main role. was a  great success in Thailand and Hong Kong in 2005 . ‘ The film became a commercially successful  in the history of action of Thai cinematography  released in the west.  Ong Bak sequel was released  in December 2008.  Tony took part in various Hollywood films such as ‘The Bodyguard’ and ”Fast and the Furious 7”. He starred with the famous actress Mila Jovovich  in 2020,  fantastic action movie about Monster Hunter . The actor continues acting till date , and works hard on movies  as a director.

Thai actor cares about environmental protection and donates money for  organizations functioning in those fields.
