Sylvester Stalone’s Opinion:

In 2006, in an interview with Ain’t It Cool News, Stallone answered questions from his fans, and a dude named Craig Farkas asked him why a mega movie starring all the great action stars of the 1980s had not yet been made. Stallone, who of course brought this fantasy to life in The Expendables, confirmed Farkas’s suspicions that everyone in the scene had pretty inflated egos that made working together downright impossible at the time. Then Stallone shared a tidbit, telling the story of Jean-Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal. According to Stallone, it was 1996 or 1997 and he was throwing a wild party with a lot of stars. Two of these people turned out to be Van Damme and Seagal, and Van Damme turned out to be completely and completely done with Seagal. What happened next was… quite surprising, to be honest.

And Who Is More Likely To Win?

Apparently, Sylvester Stallone’s party in the late 1990s had an accident when Jean-Claude Van Damme got really tired of Steven Seagal, who reportedly went around saying he could beat Van Damme. Stallone unambiguously describes the tender relationship between the two. “[Van Damme] walked right up to [Segal] and suggested that he go outside so he could mop the floor with it.” In response, Segal … apologized and left from there. However, “Van Damme, who was completely furious, tracked him down and again offered him a fight, and again Segal refused and did not want to fight,” Stallone describes the events.
Well, this round goes to Van Damme. But what would happen if they really threw up their hands? Nothing good, according to Stallone, at least not for Segal. “Who will win? I have to say, I think Van Damme was too strong and Seagal didn’t want to be involved. This is just my opinion.” Of course, this is just Stallone’s opinion. However, assuming these events happened as described, is there anyone you would trust to referee a fight between Jean-Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal more than Sylvester Stallone? Yes, let’s just say Van Damme takes it.
