A Tried and Tested Action-Packed Plot

The storyline of Lavon’s Trade promises to deliver the type of action that Jason Statham is well known for. This trope, despite being used in different ways in many films, is still loved by audiences and is thus able to attract a significant audience. The film’s script will be adapted from Chuck Dixon’s novel of the same name. The novel is the first in Levon Cade’s series of eleven books in total. The existence of enough and more source material means that Levon’s Bargaining could be followed by sequels, provided the film does well at the box office.

A Veteran-in-Action-Roles Leading Man

Jason Statham is a name synonymous with adrenaline-inducing, thrilling action films. The actor has many successful movies and franchises under his belt. He is widely known for his performances as Frank Martin in the Transporter franchise and Deckard Shaw in the Fast and Furious films. Levon’s Trade will also not be the first time that Statham takes on the titular role in a project written by Stallone. Statham previously played a retired DEA agent on a mission to protect his daughter and their home in the Stallone-written 2013 film Homefront. Stallone and Statham have also worked side by side as actors in The Expendables franchise.

Names Behind the Project

The combination of talent behind the project is another reason why the project may turn out to be a hit. With Jason Statham in the lead role, Ayer will be directing from a script penned by Sylvester Stallone. Although taking the writer’s seat for Levon’s Trade, Stallone himself is no stranger to starring in action roles, with the actor being renowned for his performances in films including Rocky, Rambo, and the Expendables films. Stallone’s script for Levon’s Trade is his first since he penned the screenplay for Rambo: Last Blood (2019) and Creed II (2018).
With Ayer having works such as Suicide Squad, Fury, and The Fast and the Furious under his belt, his teaming up with producer Bill Block, former CEO of Miramax, adds to the noteworthy combination of talent behind Levon’s Trade. Ayer is accustomed to working alongside Block, with the duo having worked on projects such as Fury and, more recently, The Beekeeper. Referring to the names behind Levon’s Trade as “the dream team,” Block stated:
