Jet Li:

Jet Li (born 26 April 1963), is a Chinese film actor, film producer, martial artist, and retired Wushu champion. He is a naturalized Singaporean citizen. He is widely regarded as one of the most iconic Chinese film stars and one of the most renowned martial arts stars of his generation. After three years of training with acclaimed Wushu teacher Wu Bin, Li won his first national championship for the Beijing Wushu Team. Between 1974 and 1979, he won the title of Men’s All-Around National Wushu Champion five times. After retiring from competitive Wushu at age 18, Li went on to win great acclaim in China as an actor, making his debut with the film Shaolin Temple (1982).

Li was born in Beijing, China and was the youngest of two boys and two girls. When he was two years old, his father died and his family then lived in poverty. Li was eight when his talent for Wushu was noticed as he practiced at a school summer course. He then attended a non-sparring wushu event, followed by joining the Beijing Wushu Team which did a martial art display at the All China Games. Renowned coaches Li Junfeng and Wu Bin made extra efforts to help the talented boy develop. Wu Bin even bought food for Li’s family in order to boost Li’s protein intake. A very young Li competed against adults and was the national all-around champion from 1975 to 1979.

Tony Jaa:

Tony Jaa was born on 5th February 1976 in Surin Province, Isaan, Thailand. He is a Thai Martial Artist, Action Choreographer, Actor, Director, Stuntman. His birth name is Panom Yeerum. Subsequently, he changed his name to Tatchakorn Yeerum, though he is internationally known by his professional name Tony Jaa. Tony Jaa Bio & Career Born as Tatchakorn Yeerum, he is enjoying his international celebrity status by working in international movies and tuning audiences from all over the world. Born in a remote village and grew up watching movies, Tony Jaa was mesmerized by the action movies of Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Jet Li.

As a conscious choice, he wanted to be one of the action heroes he worshiped on the screen. As a child, he took training in the art form, Muay Thai. His first movie where he played a supporting role was Spirited Killer. He has appeared in various movies since then. His crucial movie was Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior in which he played the main lead. The success of this movie turned into a trilogy and won many awards and nominations. He won three prestigious awards for Ong- Bak and its sequels.
