By: John M Jerva One thing is for certain, action star Scott Adkins has been making the most of his time in quarantine these past few months as he had been making videos left and right for his YouTube channel. Scott was in the middle of production on his latest Actioner titled Castle Falls which also reunites him with Dolph Lundgren when the virus hit and the star had been making training tutorials as well as talking about his best movies and fight scenes. The most recent flick to get the behind the scenes treatment is Ninja 2: Shadow of a Tear, helmed by the great Isaac Florentine, which brought back his character Ninja master Casey Bowman for an epic,
Hong Kong infused martial arts action epic that is regarded as one of his best. In the second episode of The Art Of Action, Adkins teams up with prolific martial arts film star Kane Kosugi for a rumble like no other. Kane Kosugi, who is the son of iconic martial arts star and resident Ninja Sho Kosugi, started out appearing in his father’s flicks when he was a kid but he has since broken out from his father’s shadow to become one hell of a martial arts star himself.
Kosugi has gone on to star in some cool flicks as Blood Heat and Tekken 2 and is a true talent in the genre. I’m Ninja 2, Kosugi plays Nakabara, who at first is an ally to Bowman but in a twist, it turns out that he is the one really responsible for Casey’s wife’s death. This leads, of course, to an epic showdown between the two which features high flying moves, weapons and more. In this new behind the scenes video, Adkins and Kosugi break down
their monumental fight and give their input into what made it such a success. The video lasts a whopping 50 minutes long and it’s truly in depth and full of great BTS goodness for fans to partake in. Happy 4th of July everyone! Check out the full video below and relive one of Adkins’ greatest on screen fights ever!
