Scott Adkins’s 10 Best Fight Scenes in His Movies

Scott Adkins is the most complete fighter in the world, period. His high, fast and powerful kicks have earned him a place among the best martial artists in cinema. The English-born martial artist has appeared in films such as Ip Man 4, The Expendables 2, Triple Threat, Doctor Strange and, of course, the Undisputed franchise, where he proved himself to be underrated a martial artist that many casual viewers unfortunately underestimate. He has gone toe-to-toe with some of the world’s best movie fighters such as Tony Jaa, Michael Jai White, Donnie Yen, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Jackie Chan. Adkins just never disappoints, and with that in mind, here are his best fight scenes.

9. Adkins vs. Andrei Arlovski – Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning (2012)

Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning sees Adkins take on the likes of Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lungdren; however, the best fight in the entire film is against former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski. Two martial artists fight in a small sports store. They throw each other into walls and tables before starting to beat each other to a pulp with sports equipment.

8. Adkins’ One-Take Brawl – Close Range (2015)

Close Range is one of Adkins most underrated movies. It’s an action-packed film that action movie fans are sure to love. One of the most memorable fights in the movie saw Adkins slaughter an entire floor of bad guys, showcasing his fast-paced and brutal martial arts, all while the camera followed him in one seamless, long take. It isn’t particularly long, but it’s still thrilling nonetheless.

7. Adkins vs. Marko Zaror – Savage Dog (2017)

Both Adkins and Zaror are talented fighters, so their clash with each other will definitely create a bloody fight scene. However, we were not ready for such an exciting battle. In the 2017 action film “Wild Dog”, two heavyweights of martial arts collide in a fierce, dynamic battle, in which Adkins tries to fight off Zaror, trying to break Adkins with one of the largest knives ever shown on the screen.

6. Adkins vs. Donnie Yen – Ip Man 4: The Finale (2019)

Adkins has gone toe-to-toe with some of the best martial artists in the world, but none was more anticipated than his fight with Donnie Yen in Ip Man 4. With both of these legendary martial artists going head to head, we were expecting a fast-paced, brutal and well-choreographed battle, and luckily we weren’t wrong. Adkins hits Jena with a series of roundhouse kicks; however, Ian quickly puts him down, but not without a few cuts and bruises.

5. Adkins vs. Michael Jai White – Undisputed II: Last Man Standing (2006)

The Undisputed franchise ranks among Adkins’ best works. The films may not boast the best storylines and acting, but all films have phenomenal action scenes. His fight against legendary martial artist Michael Jai White is without a doubt his best. The fight is long, brutal and showcases the unique abilities of a martial artist in an exceptional way.

4. Mike Fallen vs. Oyumi – Accident Man 2: Hitman’s Holiday (2022)

Mike Fallon (Scott Adkins), “Accident Man,” spent the entirety of “Accident Man 2” battling deadly assassins who tried to kill him and being protected by an annoying agent. However, no one was as fast or talented as Oyumi (Andy Long), a shinobi warrior. When the two finally square off, viewers are treated to an incredibly fast and beautifully choreographed fight scene in which Adkins unleashes an endless barrage of punches and kicks while Andy Long counters the attacks and nearly defeats Adkins.

3. The Pub Brawl – Avengement (2019)

The 2019 prison action movie, Avengement, is one of Adkins’ best. The performances, the writing and of course the action all culminate in a thrilling, brutal and thrilling action film that more than deserves numerous repeat viewings. The action in the prison is amazing; however, it is the pub brawl at the end of the film that will leave audiences holding their breath. Adkins takes on a bar full of bad guys. He uses table legs, clubs, his infamous kicks, a shotgun and a machine gun to defeat his attackers, destroying the pub in the process.

2. Adkins vs. Iko Uwais and Tony Jaa – Triple Threat (2019)

A criminally underrated martial arts film, Triple Threat is essentially The Expendables, but for martial arts fans. The film features martial arts legends such as Scott Adkins, Michael Jai White, Tony Jaa, Tiger Chen and Iko Uwais butting heads in some sensational fight scenes that martial arts fans could only dream of. The film pits Michael Jai White against Iko Uwais and Tony Jaa against Iko Uwais, just to name a few. But the best fight in the film, without a doubt, is the epic fight between Scott Adkins, Iko Uwais and Tony Jaa. The fight begins with Adkins and Tony Jaa exchanging blows before a vengeful Uwais appears to lend a helping hand to Adkins.

1. Boyka vs. The Twins – Boyka: Undisputed (2016)

It was true when Adkins fought Iko Uwais and Tony Jaa as mentioned earlier, and it was true when Adkins fought a pair of deadly twins in Fight: Undisputed. This is one of the fastest fights you’ll ever see, and instead of one twin waiting for the other to complete an attack, they both attack at the same time, forcing Adkins’ Yuri Boyka to block both of their attacks. One of the twins throws a kick and the other hits the head, forcing Adkins to block one with his shin and the other with his forearm. This is not something you see often in martial arts films, and it is this creativity and the ferocious speed with which these three fight that earns the film its top spot.
