Will Smith, originally known as William Carroll Smith Jr., was born on September 25, 1968 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to mother Caroline, a school administrator, and Willard, a veteran and engineer. He has three siblings: an older sister named Pamela and two younger siblings, Harry and Ellen. Will has been nominated for five Golden Globes and two Academy Awards for his work in film and TV. He has won four Grammy Awards. He is the only actor to have eight of his films gross more than $100 million in the domestic box office back-to-back as well as 11 consecutive films earn more than $150 million internationally and eight consecutive films open at the number one spot at the domestic box office.
